PhosphorLive is a video performance application that runs entirely on your Mac. It was designed to work without collecting, storing, or transmitting any personal data.
The short version — none of your data leaves your Mac.
Nothing is collected.
PhosphorLive does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
- No user accounts or registration required
- No analytics or tracking
- No crash reporting sent to external servers
- No cookies or identifiers
- No network requests to our servers
What stays on your machine.
PhosphorLive stores the following data locally on your Mac:
- Project files — your setlists, choreography, and effect settings, saved as JSON files wherever you choose
- Preferences — app settings (audio device, MIDI configuration, window positions) stored in macOS UserDefaults
- Security-scoped bookmarks — file access permissions for your video files, managed by macOS sandboxing
This data never leaves your computer.
Processed locally, never stored.
PhosphorLive may request access to your camera and microphone for live overlay effects and audio-reactive features. Camera and audio data is processed locally in real-time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Only your local network, only for live work.
PhosphorLive uses local network connections only for:
- OSC (Open Sound Control) — receiving control messages from other apps or devices on your local network
- Syphon — sharing video frames with other applications on the same Mac
No data is sent to external servers or the internet.
None.
PhosphorLive does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or analytics platforms.
Children's privacy.
PhosphorLive does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If anything changes.
If I make changes to this privacy policy, I will update this page. Since PhosphorLive collects no data, significant changes are unlikely.
